Grace Parker

Grace is currently in nursing school at the University of Mississippi Medical School.

I chose BSIS emphasizing in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry because I wanted to find a major that incorporated all my favorite science classes! I wanted to be as prepared for Nursing school as possible, and BSIS provided the perfect opportunity to set me up for success! It helped me branch out from just one major and allowed me the opportunity to meet new people and learn a wider variety of science-based concepts! I feel more rounded because of my three emphasis areas. Biochemistry and chemistry provided me an excellent molecular background, and biology taught me about the organismal level. Each of these different areas of science are all areas I was interested in and getting to learn all of them at the same time has left me a more well-rounded nursing student!
