Mississippi State University broadcast students have been recognized this spring for their outstanding work, earning nominations in two categories of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Southeast Chapter Student Production Awards. The nominations include Newscast and News Report – Serious News, highlighting the students’ dedication to high-quality journalism.

Mississippi State Professor Nicole E. Rader is being recognized with a prestigious honor received this semester signifying her contributions to the field of women, gender and crime, particularly her groundbreaking work on fear of crime and victimization.

Candace Lukasik, an assistant professor in Mississippi State’s Department of Philosophy and Religion, is joining a highly selective program for emerging scholars poised to shape the future of religious studies.
