Dorothy Roberts: “The Urgency of Reproductive and Family Justice after Dobbs.”
Roberts will be drawing from her work on the intersections of race and the child welfare system. The meet and greet reception is on September 26th in the Old Main Lounge on the 2nd floor of the Union. Please RSVP by September 23. This is your chance to meet the speaker and enjoy some refreshments. Roberts’ talk will immediately follow the reception at 6 pm in McCool Hall's Taylor Auditorium. The talk is titled “The Urgency of Reproductive and Family Justice after Dobbs.” Roberts will be drawing from her work on the intersections of race and the child welfare system.
Finally, there is a student-only lunch the following day, September 27 at 11:30 a.m. in the Grisham Room at Mitchell Memorial Library. This is the opportunity to have student-led discussion with one of the most prolific scholars in the US in law, sociology, gender studies, and Africana studies. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome.
